About Nicole

Based in Adelaide, South Australia, Nicole works both from the Jam Factory Contemporary Craft and Design studio and the Warehouse Studio, which she co-founded in 2017 and shares with 6 other artists, in Edwardstown.

Nicole graduated with 1st class Honors from the South Australian School of Art, University of South Australia in 2005 and has over 15 years experience in her field.  Her work has been collected in Museums including The Glasmuseum; Germany, Octavia Hill’s Museum; England, The Toledo Museum of Art; USA, The Parliament House Art Collection; Canberra and the National Glass Collection at the Wagga Wagga Art Gallery. She has also gained recognition in many art awards, including being selected as a finalist in the Ranamok Glass Prize, the Waterhouse Natural History Art Prize and Young Glass International, Ebeltoft, Denmark.  Her work has been included in New Glass Review 27 and 28 and exhibited and collected nationally and internationally including USA, UK and Asia.

Her exhibition work captures the optical qualities of glass through the use of thick clear glass forms, which are often combined with photographic or engraved imagery. She uses design elements found in our natural environment to influence both the form and imagery used in her work, creating  pieces which both describe and capture the beauty of nature.

Her range of contemporary, brightly coloured, functional glassware, combines her love of colour with minimalist forms, and are designed to enhance the spaces we live in.  These pieces will make a vibrant statement in any setting.
